ABOUT SOFIA
What I Build
I enjoy turning ideas into reality. I’ve founded an international nonprofit supporting pediatric cancer patients, launched a student-run environmental magazine, built financial automation tools, evaluated early-stage companies, produced a documentary in Australia, and led projects spanning entrepreneurship, finance, and storytelling. Whether I’m creating an organization, designing a system, or developing a new business idea, I’m most energized by building things that solve real problems and bring people together.
What I’m Curious About
My interests continue to evolve, but they often center around a few recurring themes:
Behavioral science and decision-making
Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
Entrepreneurship and venture creation
Health, longevity, and human performance
Environmental sustainability and conservation
Storytelling as a catalyst for change.
I enjoy learning across disciplines and believe many of the most interesting ideas emerge where different fields intersect.
How I Think
I like asking questions before searching for answers. My approach is to understand the underlying problem, explore it from multiple perspectives, and build simple prototypes or experiments before committing to larger solutions. I’m naturally drawn to ambiguity, interdisciplinary thinking, and projects that require both analytical rigor and creativity. More than finding the “right” answer, I enjoy continuously learning, testing ideas, and refining them over time.
Beyond Work
Outside of academics and professional work, you’ll usually find me traveling, writing, hiking, scuba diving, photographing landscapes, or working on a new idea. This website is more than a portfolio. It’s a place to document projects, share writing, explore ideas, and capture the experiences that continue to shape how I think. I hope it grows alongside me over the years.
